Bento Kangamba, the itinerant secretary of the MPLA’s Provincial Committee in Luanda, has praised the governance of General Higino Lopes Carneiro, the former governor of Luanda, for significantly improving the city’s image. According to Kangamba, the construction and rehabilitation of roads have facilitated smoother traffic flow, and the successful fight against littering and street vending has led to a cleaner capital.

In a statement to RNA, Kangamba noted that the governance of General Higino Carneiro has resulted in visible progress in the city’s municipalities and neighborhoods. He also observed that companies are working to remove garbage and clean the streets, which is an essential development. Furthermore, Kangamba reported that the management of the city has improved various streets, and some problematic taxis and motorcycles have disappeared from the city’s neighborhoods.

Kangamba also urged the Ministry of Commerce to monitor companies that exploit the current state of the country to sell basic goods at exorbitant prices. He acknowledged the significant decrease in the price of essential goods in various parts of the country.

While addressing the statements of some opposition political leaders, Kangamba urged them to exhibit respect rather than using a muscular or revengeful speech. He warned that politicians cannot appear in the press as if someone has stolen from them or taken something from their homes. Instead, they should strive for peace, unity, and democracy.

Kangamba’s commendation of General Higino Carneiro’s governance in Luanda highlights the significant efforts being made towards improving the city’s infrastructure and sanitation. The construction and rehabilitation of roads, as well as the fight against littering and street vending, have contributed to a cleaner and more organized city. It is commendable that the governance has led to the disappearance of problematic taxis and motorcycles from the neighborhoods, which could help reduce crime in the city.

It is also crucial that the Ministry of Commerce takes measures to prevent companies from exploiting the current situation and selling basic goods at exorbitant prices. This could help alleviate the financial burden on the citizens and improve their standard of living.

Kangamba’s call for politicians to exhibit respect is also essential for maintaining peace, unity, and democracy. Political leaders must refrain from using inflammatory language that can incite violence and division among citizens. Instead, they must prioritize national unity and strive to find common ground to address the country’s challenges.

In conclusion, Kangamba’s remarks on General Higino Carneiro’s governance in Luanda are commendable. They highlight the significant progress made in the city’s infrastructure and sanitation, as well as the need for political leaders to exhibit respect and promote national unity. As Luanda continues to grow and develop, it is crucial that the government continues to prioritize the needs of its citizens and work towards a better future for all.
