NetEnt appoints Lars Johansson as new CFO
After completing a comprehensive search process, leading digital entertainment company, NetEnt (OTCMKTS: NTNTY), has appointed Lars Johansson as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Johansson was appointed interim CFO of NetEnt on September 3, 2018, after Therese Hillman vacated the position to become group Chief Executive Officer.
According to the official press release…
The firm‘s new CFO has more than three decades of experience from a number of management positions in a variety of sectors, in public and private companies. Most recently Johansson worked as Senior Investment Director for Ratos AB and prior to that was acting CEO for the Swedish private equity firm.
A few of his previous positions include CFO/COO and acting CEO of global market leader in electronic trading technology for listed derivatives Orc Software AB, CFO/COO of Swedish media company owned by Bonnier Broadcasting Group, TV4 Group AB, and CFO of Swedavia AB, a Swedish state-owned company, which owns and operates ten of Sweden’s busiest airports.
Commenting on the appointment, Hillman said…
“I am very pleased to appoint Lars Johansson as Chief Financial Officer. He brings significant experience to the role and has already played an important part in the ongoing change process of NetEnt.”
The Stockholm-headquartered company has had a busy year having most recently collaborated with next-generation casino and sportsbook, Bethard, in launching an exclusive, custom-built virtual casino, Next Level Live, on its UK-licensed domain at Bethard.com.
Just prior to that deal, the firm announced the signing of a deal that will see it supply a selection of live-dealer games to the Ninja Casino brand from operator, Global Gaming.
