Luanda, Angola – Bento Kangamba, the president of Kabuscorp Palanca, is known for his passion for challenges, and he has recently invested in sports to bring some of the most notable athletes to Angola. Kangamba has already brought several well-known names in the world of athletics, including Zerzenay Tadesse, world champion in the half marathon, Hailé Gebresselassie, Bonsa Direba, and Josphat Menjo and Silas Sang, both of whom have won the Lisbon Half Marathon.
Now, Kangamba is turning his attention to football, and his latest investment has brought Brazilian legend Rivaldo Vítor Borba Ferreira, better known as Rivaldo, to the club. Under the guidance of Victor Bondarenko, the team has set the ambitious goal of winning the 2012 championship in the National Football Championship of the First Division.
“We will do everything to improve our results from last season,” said Bondarenko. “Rivaldo’s presence in the team will undoubtedly help us achieve our goals, and we are excited to see what he will bring to our squad.”
Rivaldo is a former Brazilian international who represented some of the world’s biggest clubs, including Barcelona and AC Milan. He won all club trophies, in addition to the Copa America in 1999 and the World Cup in 2002. At an individual level, he received the Ballon d’Or in 1999.
